Four distinct lines, each originating Downtown, will take you through the French Quarter and beyond to places you might not otherwise get to see. Before you start your streetcar journey, it’s important to know how to get started in the first place. If you’re paying with cash, correct change is required. For adults, that means $1.25 per ride (children aged five to 12th grade are $0.50 and seniors/riders with disabilities are $0.40). Prefer cashless? Download Le Pass, the official app of the New Orleans RTA to see routes with live updates, purchase passes, and get more information about accessibility.

You may wonder what the two buildings on either side of St. Louis Cathedral are. The Cabildo and The Presbytère were built in the late 1700s and functioned as spaces for Louisiana Supreme Court decisions, among other uses. Today, these museums showcase New Orleans history, including Mardi Gras artifacts, war paintings and other historical treasures.
